How it works

  1. 1

    Join

Sign in, open Affiliates in Settings, choose the name for your link, and accept the terms. Your link is live from that moment. There is nothing to wait for and nobody reviews you.

  2. 2

    Share your link

Put it where you would recommend RedditAlert anyway: your site, a newsletter, a video description, a comparison post, a reply to someone asking what to use for Reddit monitoring.

  3. 3

    Earn

When someone subscribes after clicking your link, the commission accrues on what they pay. Your dashboard tracks clicks, referrals, and the balance owed to you.

What you earn

The commission rate and how long it runs are written into the affiliate terms, which is the same document you accept when you join. Keeping the numbers in one place is deliberate: a rate quoted on a marketing page is a copy that can go stale, and the one that counts is the one you actually agreed to.

Your rate is fixed at the moment you join. If we publish different terms for new affiliates later, yours do not change.

Where you can share your link

Anywhere you would genuinely recommend RedditAlert. What is not allowed is the promotion that costs other people something: coupon and deal aggregator sites, paid search ads bidding on our brand name, unsolicited bulk email and comment spam, and anything that presents you as us or as an official channel. Inflating your own click numbers counts too. The terms spell all of it out in plain language.

Frequently asked questions

Who can join?

Anyone with a RedditAlert account. There is no traffic minimum, no audience size to prove, and no application to be approved. A free account is enough.

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining is free and there is nothing to buy. You do not need a paid RedditAlert subscription to be an affiliate.

How are referrals tracked?

Your link looks like redditalert.com/r/yourname. Clicking it sets a cookie in the visitor’s browser, and if they go on to create an account, that account is attributed to you. The commission starts when they subscribe. Clicks are logged either way, so your dashboard tells you how the link is doing before anyone signs up.

When do I get paid?

Commissions accrue as your referrals pay. Each one clears a holding period first, which is there to cover refunds and chargebacks, and the terms state how long that is. Payouts are arranged with you once there is a balance to send, and we may need tax information from you before the first one.

Can I refer myself?

No. You do not earn a commission on your own subscription, and signing up a second account through your own link to collect one is a breach of the terms.

Can I change my link name later?

No, so pick one you are happy to keep. Names are first come, first served and cannot be reassigned, which is what makes a link you shared a year ago still work exactly as it did.

What happens if I stop promoting RedditAlert?

Nothing you have already earned goes away. Referrals attributed to you keep earning on the terms recorded for them, and you stay eligible for payout on the balance.
